Thumbs up Fresh goes with Spring

Hi Desmond,

To prepare and get some info:

[1] Forex background: there are several places onboard this forum with info and background. That includes glossary, "forex 101", introduction to technical and fundamental analysis, etc.;

[2] Forex trading tips: on this forum. Read and adopt !!;

[3] Forex current info: read professional daily/weekly OUTLOOKS on this forum;

[4] read views of traders regarding current market issues and occurances.

As well - browse the web. There are many sites offering valuable info and background - free, online!

To Start trading:

[1] Look for a platform that allows quick registration (simple, no special download, use of credit cards).

[2] Make sure that the trading platform provides 1-on-1 free training, escorting you every step of your way. Make sure they have real service people, that have names and faces and may be contacted.

[3] Start trading with small amounts (there are platforms that allow trading with minimum amount to risk, and more important: look for platforms that do NOT require "maintenance margin", in addition to the funds you use for trading).

[4] Feel the temperature, then gradually increase your involvement.

[5] Never risk more than you are prepared to lose.

Need any specific or further advise? mail me privately via this forum.

Good luck !!

Just got involved trading foreign currencies. Extremely exciting. Does anyone know of a web site that contains detailed definitions of Japanese candlesticks.
I look forward to making new acquaintances and sharing information.
Thanks,

Hey Matt,
No worries, glad to help. I'm pretty much a noobie at this myself. I have followed the markets for some time and studied economics and commerce at uni. However I must point out that from my experience all the theoretical and demo account practice is worth about half a pinch of sheep shit when it comes time to align ones money and ones mouth!
Good luck with it all and have fun.
Jack

Default I'm Astro302

I'm going to try to learn and hopefully do some FOREX. I'm paralized from my chest on down so i'm home all the time doing nothing. I'm always on the computer on different forums and figured I could make some money being on the computer 15 hours a day or more. So, if I ask some off the wall questions, don't go off on me since i'll be a newbie.

Hello everyone. I am a 24 year old male from St. Petersburg, FL. If there is anyone from the Tampa/St. Pete area please feel free to contact me. I currently own a financial services franchise and I'm looking to allocate more of my time into Forex Trading so that I can learn the art and grow my wealth at the same time.

Thumbs up new forex trader

hello, everyone. I am happy I found this forum. I hope to gain alot of
information from it. I also have some helpful tips for anyone interested.

First, a great web-site for beginning forex traders is www. babypips.com.
I learned alot from this web-site.

Also, think of forex trading as a new career. You cannot learn a business
from reading books, you need someone to teach you the business, a
mentor. I am currently in a mentorship program and I am learning alot,
more than I would have learned by myself.

Just a few suggestions. Good luck to everybody and good trading.

Exclamation YOU will need a system to succeed.

BEFORE YOU START!!!!

If your new to this and want to succeed, you will need a "system". Without a system all you will do is guess and gamble. There are too many over priced things for me when I started so I turned to a group that I thank every night that I found. They have no doubt cracked the code of this game. Their technology and method is the best i've seen, and they give you the package for life! I tripled my account in about 2 months. I have seen other companies charge 5k plus for the same thing but these guys just give it away!

You will for sure! that is the use of forums, to be able to help, give and share information.. If you think forums is not enough place for you, then there's the google which is always ready and easy for you to use to search whatever you want to learn.. There are books related to forex as well which could be a big help for you..

Good luck to you!

Default Bread crumbs & Flashlights

Hi Everybody!
I've been trading the FX for little over a year now, but this is my first online community. I've been looking under rocks and whistling down roads less traveled, however I'm not sure how far I've gone.
Probably like most of you, I'm not exactly ready to install the bowling alley on my yacht... I'm hoping my experience here will allow me to pass along my observations as well as pick up a few gems.

I'll see you in the threads...

Hi there - I've been 'doing' forex since the beginning of the year. It was a new years' resolution to find something that would puts a few more pennies in the purse and hopefully develope into a decent work-at-home job. I suffer from fibromyalgia - which means that i'm OK most of the time, but debiltated at other times.

So - forex seemed a good option - not a 'get rich quick' scheme - but an actual serious activity.

I have no financial training - I'm a language teacher by training - and spent three months exploring a series of brokers. I tested over a dozen and picked one that I love.

My other passion is writing and I have even started a blog for novice traders -written from a novice's point of view.

So, although my trading has yet to realise a profit for me (mainly because I have yet to migrate from my demo account !!!) I am enjoying learning, researching and discussing forex - and I enjoy my virtual trading.

Looking forward to exploring this forum.

I just read about some guy who told he can get 85-90% to win trading Forex. Is that true? I guess he’s now millionaire. I heard there’s no chance to get more than 75% even been lucky. Should I follow his advice? Can I start with 500 USD to trade? Or do I need to save more?

Well, I do believe that that guy shloud have been really lucky, perhaps he had the same chances of winning the lottery as well. Perhaps you could open a mini forex account, you don't need as much as 500 USD and by obtainig that mini forex you can get to develop your strategy and make it strong, so when you go and get a forex account with the ammount of money you can, you'll already have a good strategy.
Good day
