Default Australian CPI figures

Australia's consumer prices rose 0.9% in the Q1, figure stronger than economists expectations.

However, core inflation was more subdued suggesting policy makers might see no urgent need to lift interest rates.

Analysts also noted that much of the CPI increased was seasonal.

So don't rush into buying the AUD, yet!
